The assistant principal in coordination with the principal will be responsible for the following: student scheduling, instructional evaluation of teachers, maintenance of student attendance records, completion of building level reports, providing recommendations for instructional improvement and supervise activities and athletic programs at the building level.

 

SCREENING PROCEDURES:

  • Receipt of a completed application, resume and cover letter
  • A minimum of three current written letters of reference from previous or current directors, principal, and supervisors
  • Personal interview

MINIMUM EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree in educational administration or curriculum and instruction preferred
  • Two or more years of experience in classroom teaching in public schools
  • Two or more years of leadership experience in current or former position
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania Certification in the area of Administrative I
  • The following are required:
    • PA Criminal clearances
    • PA Child Abuse clearances
    • FBI clearances
    • Physical including TB Test
  • Proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
